Dear Neighbours, I hope you’re having a relaxing summer.

It’s been an active month filled with celebration and good news! Firstly, it was wonderful to have the community out at my annual BBQ. There was music, ice cream, hamburgers, and hotdogs, but most importantly we came together as a community.

Not only that, but we recognized many great milestones, from the opening of several local businesses to constituents celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.  Furthermore, I was able to deliver funding to Queensway Health Centre, St. Joseph’s Health Centre, LAMP Community Health Centre and several organizations and community centres including Haven on the Queensway, Franklin Horner Community Centre, Islington Senior’s’ Centre, and many more.

I also congratulated some of Etobicoke-Lakeshore’s very own athletes who received Quest for Gold funding, from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, which provides financial incentives for athletes to remain in Ontario, and to compete at the highest national and international levels. Congratulations to all our athletes on the amazing results and for your outstanding performance.

Enjoy the dog days of summer!
