Hello Etobicoke-Lakeshore,

Welcome Summer!

June was a busy month as the Legislature rose for summer and I was able to spend more time in the Community.
At Queen’s Park: As you may know from media coverage, I led the unanimous passage of my Motion to create a Clare’s Law for Ontario, which would help protect victims of intimate partner violence. Every woman has the right to live in safety and with dignity, free from intimidation and the threat of violence. That’s why we are taking action to prevent and address violence against women in all forms.

During the month, I joined the Minister for Seniors and Accessibility to announce new funding for programs supporting our seniors across Etobicoke–Lakeshore. Furthermore, I hosted my community painting party in celebration of our seniors in the community!

As we celebrate the 156th Canada Day, I’d like to send you warm wishes and hope you have a fantastic day filled with laughter, joy, and all things Canadian! I would also like to wish all Tibetan and Egyptian Ontarians a Happy Heritage Month, as you celebrate during July.

I continue looking forward to working for you and meeting you, especially at my upcoming community BBQ on Thursday, July 6th, 2023. Just a reminder, please be careful on local roads as children may be running about.

Stay safe and Happy Canada Day!
